Karen Leppla

Karen Leppla is Vice President and Director of Trading. She joined Heartland in September 2022.

She previously worked as a Senior Vice President and Senior Equity and Fixed Income Trader at Baird.

Leppla graduated from the University of Alaska-Anchorage (UAA) with a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies of Business Administration and Physical Education. She was also an NCAA All-American Gymnast. 

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, boating, and downhill skiing with her husband and two children.
